CHAPTER fourteen

Across the Nullarbor

Kalgoorlie to Adelaide

We cross the Nullarbor – relentlessly flat, endlessly fascinating – with Cook (pop. 4), the only stop. We leave the Indian Pacific at Port Augusta, and drive north to the Flinders Ranges, where rugged walks lead to grand views. We then head south to Port Lincoln, and visit two coastal national parks.
